Nicole is a marine biologist with a focus in marine animal ecology. She completed her master's in Marine Sciences at the University of Milano Bicocca in collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute marine mammal bioacoustics lab. Her research interests span from marine conservation to marine animal behavior and medicine. She took part in different marine conservation programs in remote areas during her career focusing on marine mammals, and sea turtle nesting and rehabilitation. Nicole is also part of the WWF travel whale watching team, collecting data on marine mammals in the Pelagos Sanctuary.
